Quick Announcement

Just needed to get this out there.

Silvagunner, a Youtube user who uploaded thousands of video game music tracks on the website, had his account suspended. I've been hearing rumors that Square-Enix had some sort of issue with his Final Fantasy tracks, but there appears to be no confirmation for this.

The main reason I'm reporting this is that several of the music videos I've posted on my blog were embedded directly from his account. Since it is now suspended, these songs won't work anymore. Unfortunately, these were ones vital to their specific subjects and understandably I'm a tad upset over this.

My plan is to wait it out for a few weeks and see if he gets his account back online (it's happened before). If it doesn't happen, I'll grab some alternate videos and replace the faulty ones. It's not such a big deal, but I'm sure you all know by now how I use music on the site and I like everything on here to be tidied up.

On the subject of Silvagunner himself, I hope this situation is resolved promptly. I actually didn't dive into his (massive) playlists as much as other people did, but his contributions to the website were invaluable and were an ubiquitous force in related game searches. Considering the large volume of other users who've uploaded video game music, whatever reason for this is immediately nonsensical and hypocritical. You will be missed.

  2. Thank you for the info. I'll keep an eye on it.

I've actually been realizing this has a bigger impact then I would've expected. The videos I used to listen to the music from Tales of Symphonic and Star Fox were gone, and then I realized they were from him. I mean, others have them up, but his was always first.

    Man, this is so stupid.
